Out of the dark, moldy basements of Raleigh, NC, FUTURE CRIMES arises with their debut 7" EP that is going to "make straight people really uncomfortable." A queer/straight mixed trio, these angry punks are taking a stand against homophobia and bigotry and are certain to become conservative America's worst nightmare. Six songs of stripped down, no bullshit punk rock that will appeal to fans of The Dicks, M.D.C. and The Big Boys. Limited to 200 copies on pink vinyl with an MP3 download card that includes four bonus songs not on the 7". Records are hand numbered.
"North Carolina's FUTURE CRIMES wastes no time letting you know where they are coming from. The record begins with who I think is one of the band members saying, "I'm about to make straight people really uncomfortable." FUTURE CRIMES delivers some late '80s sounding raw hardcore with vocals that you can sing along to all day. For me the vocals are what really stand out - the tone, gravely, gruffy bark, and that the point is to understand every word. We have a track about Growlr, a track about a guy who goes to pick up guys at bookstores ("Bookstore Whore"), "Whiskey Dick," meeting someone at a bar you want to take home ("Spend the Night With You") and by far my favorite track, "The Adonis Factor" which questions the ripped, chiseled, image which is idolized by a big part of gay male culture. This track alone makes this 7" worth a listen. They do step away from the message on "Romney Riot Oh '12" which tackles apathy in the punk scene." - MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL February 2015. Issue #381.
"Fucking great band!" - Tommy Unit Live From New York on Real Punk Radio
"The band's street punk is primitive, but their gay-centric approach to party songs and political tirades alike is refreshingly blunt." - Bryan C. Reed, Indy Week
