about

Alabama's BLOOD RED BABY BLUE is a cataclysmic mash-up of styles, drawing sonic inspiration from The Plasmatics, Ramones, Joan Jett, 45 Grave and the overall sound of CBGBs in its heyday. Visual influences include the progenitors of "shock rock," like Alice Coope and Screamn' Jay Hawkins, as well as, more performance-art based bands such as The Frogs and The Tubes and the ever-pervasive themes of Domination and Submission. At each show, lead vocalist, Miss Stress chooses one lucky victim from the audience for onstage punishment and flogging, while JWC's tribal rhythms and Bill E's Les Paul dorwn out the screams of publically executed justice. BLOOD RED BABY BLUE fans are encouraged to dress as outlandishly as their imagination will allow. Crossdressers get in free!
